Big Tent on the Prairie Fundraiser

Join the Story County Democrats to kick off Summer! Presidential candidates Cory Booker and Kirsten Gillibrand have confirmed attendance. More speakers are possible and TBA. Light refreshments will be provided, with beer and wine available for purchase. MC Lucy Martin

This is a free will donation fundraiser to benefit the Story County Democrats.

Sponsorship levels of $500, $300, $200 and $100 are available and can be made by check payable and sent to Story County Democrats, P.O. Box 1256, Ames, IA 50014-1256 or you can donate on online at www.storydems.org by scrolling down the page and using the "Donate Today" button. Sponsorship donations received before June 3rd will be included on our program.

Help us reduce waste by bringing your own reusable place settings if you are able. We will also provide disposable place settings.

Knock Down the House Watch Party

Who: The Dickinson County Democrats are teaming up with Her Wolf PAC to discuss how women in politics changed the game in 2018. Former IA4 congressional candidate Leann Jacobsen will deliver a short presentation about how women are mobilizing in NW Iowa.

What: Watch the documentary ‘Knock Down the House,’ a look inside the campaign of four women who ran for Congress in 2018. We’ll provide the popcorn and sweets, you can BYOB.

Harry Hopkins Democratic Dinner & Celebration

Please join the Woodbury County Democrats for a great evening and help your LOCAL Democrats so we can keep our headquarters open and run the kind of campaign that will make us all proud.

Harry Hopkins was born in Sioux City, and in the 1930's and 1940's was President Roosevelt's right-hand man: adviser, personal envoy to Winston Churchill, and the man who oversaw the creation of the WPA program that put people back to work during the depths of the Great Depression. 

The following levels of support are named in honor of local facilities originally created by the WPA under Harry Hopkins' leadership:

Join the Story County Democrats at Prairie Moon Winery for their annual Fall BBQ! All funds go to support our local candidates, including direct donations to them, campaign office expenses, advertising and mailings.

Meet and Great at 4 pm, Italian dinner/desert/cash bar at 5 pm, speakers & auction at 6pm!

Iowa Senator Bill Doltzer will receive the Profiles in Political Courage Award.

Candidate for U.S. House District 4 J.D. Scholten, Candidate for Iowa Senate Tracy Freese, and Iowa Senator Amanda Ragan will be speaking.
